Organizers confirm DreamVille and festival events will continue as scheduled.
A devastating fire has destroyed the main stage of Tomorrowland 2025, just days before the world-renowned electronic music festival was set to kick off in Boom, Belgium. The blaze erupted around 6 p.m. local time on July 16, rapidly engulfing the intricate stage structure and leveling the area entirely, according to Belgian broadcaster VRT.
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. While festivalgoers had not yet arrived, over 1,000 staff members were on-site preparing for the event. Fire crews remained on the scene late into the evening, and some nearby residents were temporarily evacuated as a safety precaution.
Despite the damage, Tomorrowland organizers have confirmed the festival will go on. In a statement posted to Instagram, they reassured attendees that DreamVille (the official festival campsite) will open on Thursday, July 17 as scheduled, and all Global Journey activities in Brussels and Antwerp will proceed normally.

“We are focused on finding solutions for the festival weekend (Friday–Sunday),” the post read. “More updates and detailed information will be communicated as soon as possible.”
Set to run over two weekends (July 18–20 and July 25–27), Tomorrowland 2025 is themed “Orbyz“ — a fantasy world set beneath a melting ice cap, powered by red crystals and hidden energy. The festival is expected to host over 400,000 attendees and features a star-studded lineup including David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Swedish House Mafia, Steve Aoki, and AFROJACK.

As of now, the cause of the fire has not been confirmed. Organizers are actively working to assess the damage and determine how to proceed with staging for the festival’s opening performances.
